ABOUT ME

Stevie Calabrese is a special effects artist, scenic designer, and the co-owner of Sixty to Escape, a chain of immersive escape rooms known for their cinematic detail and challenging puzzles. Her creative journey began at age 21, when she started acting at a haunted house and instantly fell in love with the world of FX makeup and the tight-knit, wildly imaginative haunt community. That experience launched her into a career of transforming people into monsters, building strange and beautiful spaces, and turning storytelling into something you can touch.
Since 2012, she has served as the Makeup Manager at The Realm of Terror Haunted House, one of the Midwest’s most acclaimed haunts, where she oversees transformative designs that push the boundaries of horror realism.
She went on to compete on the Syfy reality show Face Off in 2015, where she showcased her skills in special effects makeup to a national audience. Her work in both the haunt and escape room industries is defined by a love of immersive experiences and tactile storytelling—whether she’s airbrushing a demon or designing a puzzle that takes three people, a flashlight, and a fake pizza to solve.
When she's not elbow-deep in latex or designing her next escape room theme, Stevie spends her time hanging out with her Husband and their two parrots, who may or may not be tiny feathery gremlins.
